About Larissa

I am an Oregon State licensed and nationally certified speech-language pathologist. I am a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). I received my Bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University and my Master’s degree from Western Washington University.

I draw upon my many years of experience working in Early Intervention, in the schools and in private practice clinics as part of multidisciplinary teams which include Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Psychologists, doctors and teachers.

I have extensive training in assessing and working with children of all ages, from first words, early childhood and into school age. In my years of practice, I have helped children improve their Articulation and Phonology, Expressive and Receptive Language, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Stuttering, Social Skills, Social Language, use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Tongue Thrust, Dysarthria/Oral Motor Weakness and Executive Functioning skills.

Connection and trust are the cornerstones of learning, therefore, I strive to create a fun environment by building rapport and relationships with both you and your child . I encourage collaboration with the family, teachers, and other therapists to create a cohesive approach in order to provide the best outcomes possible.

I am a PNW native, originally from Seattle. In my spare time I love spending time with my husband and dogs, traveling, camping, skiing, biking, dancing, cooking and visiting with friends and family.
